Oil pulling has changed my life as a busy mom! Not to sound like an infomercial (because I really don’t like those myself), but oil pulling truly deserves to be promoted more. It is one of the best regiments I’ve incorporated into my grooming routine as a mom who never gets time to do much “extra” grooming care. : I noticed positive oral results within a few days of starting because oil pulling not only detoxifies your mouth and increases oral health as a whole, but improves other issues too. It’s an age-old tradition started in India and rooted in Ayurvedic medicine, so of course, it is not backed by factual medical sources. I have always been into natural remedies, and my best indicator of belief is when I see results first-hand. : Oil pulling uses natural oils to clean and detoxify teeth and gums, it helps whiten teeth and freshen breath and is beneficial for overall gum health. I loooove beets! It's one of those superfoods that boosts your energy and provides you with important vitamins. The best beets are homemade, but it takes long to cook and it's messy. Sometimes, I get the cooked ones at the produce section and eat it like an apple. Or I get the healthy pickled ones in a jar to have with my food. It's great to add to salads, or eat with a bbq and potato salad, yum! The best thing is the various health benefits it provides, especially needed if you're a busy mom: - It boosts strength. - It improves digestion. - It lowers blood pressure. - It boosts brain health. - It helps fight inflammation. - It helps with weight loss. Sometimes we wonder why we work so hard, but our income is not insufficient to cover our expenses. We ponder over the unexplained reason why our money never seems enough for the needs of our family and home. The scholars say this is a sign – not of a lack of wealth, but a lack of divine blessings (barakah) in our wealth. 🌼 When our finances are tight, it can also be a test from Allah SWT and as such, a mercy in disguise. Sometimes through our wealth, Allah causes us to turn towards Him in prayer and dua, and to be patient and have contentment. It can result in forgiveness of our sins and learning to be reliant upon Him. 🌼 However, when we attach our hearts to Allah SWT, submit to Him completely, and make Him our sole goal and purpose (not the blessings), then barakah will enter our lives from all sides without us having to worry about it. 🌼 Alhumdulillah there are things we can do to increase the barakah in our wealth as well, and a very important one is, dua. Today I read the verse... "Therefore be patient; surely the promise of Allah is true; and ask protection for your fault and sing the praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning." (Sura Al-Ghafir - The Forgiver 40:55) 🌼 The Quran is filled with tips for success in life and work. It's sad but true, some sisters do not like to see you succeed. And sometimes, it can be those that are close to you unfortunately. So I guess, their hate is a backhanded compliment. Though I wish more people remembered the fact, that our risq is written. So no matter the competition, or how many are doing what you do, nothing changes risq except barakah. I usually tell my clients at the very beginning of a coaching session... Be prepared to work hard on your business or blog. Because if you're not prepared for the work, dedication, and hustle - rather get a job, or blog as a hobby. 🌼 Many people see a successful mompreneur as gifted or blessed, but that's not even close to the truth. She has simply learnt to be positive and to push her doubts aside. Behind the scenes, she's working extremely hard, never procrastinating, and using every spare moment she has, to build her business. 🌼 So we shouldn't feel envious of successful women, instead, we should admire them.
